Shipping and Returns
Preparing your artwork
Each QUADRA GALLERY artwork is prepared individually before dispatch. The usual preparation time is approximately 5 working days from confirmation of payment.
During this process, the print, edition number, Certificate of Authenticity, embossed seal and final condition of the artwork are checked before it is packed.
If any circumstances arise that could significantly delay preparation, QUADRA GALLERY will inform the buyer.
Packaging
Artworks are packaged according to their format to protect them during transport.
S size artworks are shipped flat, with rigid protection.
M and L size artworks are normally shipped rolled, inside sturdy tubes with additional external protection for transport.
The printed paper is protected with 80 gsm acid-free paper and any additional materials required to prevent rubbing, moisture or movement inside the packaging.
Shipping destinations
We currently ship to Spain and selected European Union countries available during checkout. QUADRA GALLERY will progressively expand shipping to the United Kingdom, the United States and other international destinations. Orders may only be completed for destinations enabled during the checkout process.
For enquiries about shipping to a destination that is not yet available, please contact hola@quadragallery.com.
Shipping costs
Shipping costs depend on the destination, format, weight and characteristics of the order. The applicable amount will be displayed before the purchase is confirmed.
Delivery times
The delivery period begins once the artwork has been fully prepared and handed over to the carrier.
Estimated delivery times will depend on the destination and service selected and will be shown during checkout or in the order confirmation. Unless another delivery period has been expressly agreed, delivery will take place without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 30 calendar days after the contract is concluded.
Delivery times provided by the carrier are estimates. If a significant delay occurs, QUADRA GALLERY will inform the buyer and respect all rights available to them by law.
Customs and import charges
Shipments between Member States of the European Union are not subject to customs duties.
Orders shipped outside the customs territory of the European Union may be subject to taxes, customs duties, clearance fees or other import charges imposed by the destination country.
Where these amounts are not expressly included during checkout, they must be paid by the recipient.
Risk during transport
When QUADRA GALLERY arranges transport, the risk of loss or damage remains with the gallery until the buyer, or a third party designated by the buyer other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the order.
If the buyer independently appoints a carrier that was not offered by QUADRA GALLERY, the risk passes to the buyer when the order is handed over to that carrier.
Damaged, incorrect or defective orders
If the packaging shows visible damage upon delivery, we recommend that you retain the packaging and all protective materials, photograph the exterior of the parcel before opening it, photograph the artwork and any damage found, and report the issue as soon as possible to hola@quadragallery.com, quoting your order number.
We recommend reporting transport damage within the first 48 hours to facilitate any claim with the carrier. This period does not limit the consumer’s statutory rights.
Where an artwork is incorrect, arrives damaged or is affected by a lack of conformity attributable to QUADRA GALLERY, any collection, replacement, repair, price reduction or refund required by law will be provided free of charge to the consumer, including any necessary transport costs.
Right of withdrawal
Consumers have 14 calendar days from receipt of the order to exercise their right of withdrawal, unless one of the statutory exceptions applies.
The request may be initiated through the Customer Accounts section or by emailing hola@quadragallery.com, quoting the order number.
Once the return has been requested, the customer has 14 calendar days to send or deliver the artwork to QUADRA GALLERY:
QUADRA GALLERY
Calle Don Pelayo 1
39008 Santander, Cantabria · Spain
The artwork must be adequately protected for transport. We recommend using the original packaging whenever possible and returning all items supplied with the order, including the Certificate of Authenticity and any other documentation.
Keeping the original packaging is not a requirement for exercising the right of withdrawal. The consumer will only be liable for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and condition of the product.
Return costs
For voluntary withdrawals, the consumer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the order.
QUADRA GALLERY will bear this cost where the product is incorrect, has arrived damaged or is affected by a lack of conformity for which QUADRA GALLERY is responsible.
Where a product cannot normally be returned by post because of its size or nature, the estimated return cost will be stated before purchase on the product page, during checkout or in this policy.
Returns must not be sent with carriage or postage payable by QUADRA GALLERY without prior authorisation.
Personalised products
The right of withdrawal does not apply where a product has been made to the buyer’s particular specifications or is clearly personalised.
This exception may apply, among other cases, to specially commissioned artworks created expressly for the customer, custom sizes not included in the catalogue, changes to composition, colour or content requested by the buyer, and dedications or other individual personalisations.
Catalogue artworks purchased in the standard S, M and L sizes retain the right of withdrawal, even if they are printed after the order is placed. Production on demand does not, in itself, make a catalogue artwork a personalised product.
Refunds
Where the right of withdrawal applies, QUADRA GALLERY will issue the corresponding refund no later than 14 calendar days from the date on which the customer communicates their decision to withdraw.
QUADRA GALLERY may withhold the refund until the returned artwork has been received or until the customer provides sufficient evidence that it has been sent back, whichever occurs first.
The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless another method has been expressly agreed. Once the refund has been issued, any additional time required for the funds to appear in the customer’s account will depend on the relevant bank or payment provider.
Legal guarantee
Products purchased by consumers are covered by the applicable statutory guarantee of conformity. In Spain, QUADRA GALLERY is liable for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery that becomes apparent within three years following delivery.
This guarantee is separate from the right of withdrawal.
