Variation on Marcella’s space in the presence of a white cat and two bottles
Kristina Székely (heteronym)
Copy 1 of 30
Limited edition of 30 · Signed and numbered · Certificate of authenticity · Hahnemühle Fine Art print
In this reinterpretation of Expressionist vulnerability, Kristina Székely transposes the figure of Marcella (Ernst Ludwig Kirchner) into a space of dense emotional saturation. The electric pulse of the contours and the vehemence of the colour contrast with the self-absorbed stillness of the pose, revealing a conscious exhaustion. In that withdrawal of the gaze, the scene suspends the urgency of the outside world, turning isolation and memory into an impenetrable refuge.
